Course Description:
As a beginner in taijiquan, you will learn basic warm-up exercises and systematically go through the taiji form one movement at a time. You will also get a solid foundation in the principles behind taijiquan and Taoist philosophy. The form we teach at the Norwegian Taiji Center originates from the Yang style short form, as developed by Professor Cheng Man-Ch’ing.
Learning the entire form takes 4 courses of 10 weeks with weekly training. You train with a fixed class of students at your own skill level.
Once you have learned the entire form, you will begin training together with our Taiji Masterclass where we go deeper into the principles, the form and its application in self-defense.
Each weekly training lasts 1.5 hours and ends with a cup of tea in each other's pleasant company.
