Events @ CONOS

The Oslo Conversations

Our seminars invite in guest speakers, who lead in their fields of expertise, to share their viewpoint and open up audience discussions.

We aim to include as many different perspectives in these dialogues as possible, with international voices as well as Norwegian experts, so that everything can be taken into a well rounded exploration of what Consciousness is. Whether it comes from the world of academia or from creative expression through to the wisdom traditions around the world, all are welcome to share in the discussion whether you are a guest speaker or a member of the audience.

1 Year Courses

There comes a time when practice deepens further into commitment — because something in you begins to require that it becomes the way you live.

Our year-long courses are a living rhythm that unfolds over time, where practice is not confined to the mat or the room, but translates quietly into the way you breathe, choose, relate, and live. Seeing life as a journey of returning, again and again, to what is real beneath the noise, the patterns, the identities you have outgrown.

These courses are for those willing to seriously investigate — through the openings, the resistance, the quiet thresholds — and to discover what becomes possible when practice is no longer separate from your life, but woven into its very fabric.

Urban Weekend Retreats

Our urban retreats are an invitation to step out of the pace of daily life without needing to leave it behind.

In the middle of the city, we create space to slow down, to breathe and to reconnect with what often gets lost in our, sometimes chaotic, everyday life.

Over the course of a weekend, you are given time to land more fully in your body, to notice your inner landscape, and to gently step out of the habits that keep you busy, distracted, or disconnected.

These retreats are balanced and immersive experiences — where physical practice, reflection and enquiry come together to support a deeper connection to yourself.

Dance

Movement is the language of the body, and dance is where the body is free to speak.

Through movement, music and listening (both inward and outward), you are invited to step out of thinking and into the body’s intuition. There is no choreography to follow and nothing to get right. Only an opportunity to move and to let the body lead.

Expression replaces control. Emotions, energy and sensation are recognised as movement itself: given space to shift, unfold and transform, without needing to be understood or explained.

Dance becomes a way of reconnecting with something instinctive and primordial within you. Where movement is no longer something you do, but something you are part of.

Mindfulness & Meditation

Meditation and the practice of Mindfulness is about becoming aware of how your mind works.

It is about seeing how all thoughts and emotions are simply movements that need to move through you. The practice trains you to notice how they come in and go out again like the tides. The clarity comes when you realise that you can simply observe this movement and not identify with it.

Our meditation and Mindfulness courses are designed for you to explore this in a simple and experiential way. Over time, this clarity allows you to make more aligned choices, influencing how you meet life at work, at home and within yourself.

Yoga & Breath Work

Yoga is a way of returning to the body. Not to shape it, but to listen to it.

The breath is a tool that guides us home.

In a world that pulls us into the mind, yoga opens the door back into direct experience, while the breath pushes past the barriers of the mind and straight into the feeling system. Through movement, breath and presence, we begin to feel what is actually here, rather than what we think should be here.

This is not about performance or flexibility, but about relationship. A living, committed relationship with your body, your breath and the deeper intelligence that moves through both.

This creates a different kind of connection: one that is grounded, responsive, and alive. Where the body is no longer something to control, but something to trust and the breath is something to listen to.

Art & Music

Art and music are ways of giving form to something that cannot always be put into words.

Through sound, voice, rhythm, image, and expression, different inner worlds are brought into being to be shared, witnessed and experienced together. Each offering is unique, shaped by the artist or facilitator, yet rooted in the same intention: to connect, to express and to create.

These events invite you to listen, to feel and to enjoy — whether as a participant, a witness, or simply someone who appreciates.

A place where creativity is not separate from life, but a natural expression of it.

Qigong

DAOIST QIGONG With roots in ancient Chinese philosophy that is 4000 years old, Qigong means “breath work”, or “energy work”.

Daoist Qigong is based on simple breathing techniques to open up the circulation of Qi (life force) in the body. By uniting breath, movement and mindfulness, we give the body and mind space to relax and begin to heal themselves from within. Daoist Qigong is based on the wisdom and principles of the five-element theory: fire, earth, metal, water and wood.

Taijiquan

The practice of Taijiquan (Tai Chi) helps to tune into and refine body awareness: from correcting posture and easing the pain of long term imbalance, to the use of smaller stabilising muscles. This means an increased sense of centre in the body, leading to better overall balance.

Holistic use of the body is the focus of the training with movements that require a high level of presence, bringing into our modern way of living a philosophy that is several thousand years old. By maintaining a strong focus, the mind quietens and both body and mind are given space to relax and recover in an often hectic everyday life.

Special Events

Special events are gatherings that invite depth, connection, and shared experience.

These may take many forms (circles, ceremonies and other facilitated offerings) each shaped by the intention and approach of the person holding it. While the structure may differ, the essence remains the same: to create a space where people can come together with presence, openness, and a willingness to explore.

Some events may be reflective and inward looking. Others more expressive, relational or communal. What they share is an invitation to step out of daily life, and into a space that allows for something different to emerge.

A place for connection — to yourself, to others and to something beyond the everyday.
